Superb You know when you've always wanted to try a fish and chip shop when passing because its really popular then finally you do and its even better than expected. Thats Robinsons. Have tried Matlock and.Matlock Bath fish and chips plenty of times. Arrived about 4.30pm on this Saturday. The ladies working were SO friendly. Really welcoming. Quick service with a smile, a chat and a laugh. When you put your own vinegar on try not to soak them as they hold the chips for you. :) Loved the chips, curry sauce and sausage. Washed down with an old school dandelion and burdoch. For once, reasonable.prices too. Big fan, definitely going back
Been going to this chip shop for many years, travelling from Darley Dale (which has its own very good chippie too). The ladies are always very pleasant and the chips are apparently cooked in vegetable oil which is why they are so delicious. The fish is always good too. Cannot recommend this place enough. It’s a pity that parking is always difficult.
Lovely local chippy! The chips are amazing! We drive half an hour to come to get these chips! The staff are very friendly and chatty! Staff are really friendly and the prices are good! Cash is preferred but they have got a card machine now but the signal is rubbish! Had fish and chips and batter sausage and chips for £13
Friendly server, tasty food and good price. 10/10

Super fish and chips. Freshly cooked, and very friendly service. The benches by the mill pond are a perfect spot to eat on a summer's evening.
We travelled from Matlock to Cromford especially to try this chip shop, and we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly the moment we entered. The fish was perfect, as were the chips - best chippy dinner I've ever had. We'll be visiting again in the near future.
